Wizard World Comic Con returns to Pennsylvania Convention Center

Pop culture fans will be able to meet their heroes at Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia that gets underway Thursday afternoon at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Jason David Frank, who played Tommy, the Green Ranger, from the Power Rangers television show, is among dozens of celebrities in town. He will be at Comic  Con all four days, posing for pictures with fans and signing autographs.

Convention Center to dedicate theater to Michael Nutter

Pennsylvania Convention Center officials will name the facility's multipurpose theater after the former mayor of Philadelphia, whose second term ended in January. The center repurposed Room 114, a former lecture hall at the southeast corner of 13th and Race Streets, to make way for the Michael A. Nutter Theatre.

Thousands of teenage girls bring their aces to Pa. Convention Center

Teenage girls from all over the country are in Philadelphia for a qualifying volleyball tournament. The sound of more than 470 teams playing volleyball on 68 court inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center was deafening. The girls compete March 18-20 and again March 25-27.
