Pennsylvania Convention Center Redefines the Convention Center Experience with the Installation of 150+ Digital Screens
Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Convention Center has unveiled a major digital transformation with the installation of more than 150 state-of-the-art digital screens throughout its facility, which, when completed, will be the most extensive display of digital assets within a convention center space in the United States.
Designed to elevate event signage, simplify wayfinding, and expand on-site advertising opportunities, the new network will include 4,700 square feet of striking LED video wall displays and LCD meeting room signs that will deliver vibrant, engaging, and high-impact visuals, to enhance the overall event experience.
“The Pennsylvania Convention Center prides itself on being an industry-leader and innovator and we are very excited to be one of the few convention centers that can offer such an extensive digital signage package for our customers,” said John McNichol, president and CEO, Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority. “These new signage offerings will be a game-changer for the events we host and will deliver a more seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience for event attendees, organizers, and exhibitors.”
The Center has partnered with world-leading digital signage and digital advertising solutions company, Xpodigital, to provide the technology, sales, and advertising services on behalf of the facility. Some of the highlights of the project include a 79-foot wide digital ribbon that welcomes guests in the Broad Street Atrium, three 28-foot high vertical screens that create a cathedral-like experience as guests ascend to the upper floors, curved screens at key intersections that wrap around the walls, and the immersive hub in the Grand Hall which will be transformed into a synchronized media zone with 760 square-feet of wall displays.
“Our collaboration with Xpodigital was very strategic because, in addition to their unmatched experience, the company’s commitment to providing remarkable service is fully aligned with our own service expectations at the Pennsylvania Convention Center,” said Tony Hodgins, regional general manager for Legends Global, which manages the venue. “Because of this, we are confident that our partnership will only maximize the impact for our customers and maintain the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s position as a world-class event venue.”
The final phase of the Center’s digital signage project is expected to be completed by the middle of 2026.
