The Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) is the world's largest gathering of women and non—binary technologists. It is named in honor of Grace Hopper, a pioneering computer scientist and United States Navy rear admiral. The celebration typically features keynote speakers, panel discussions, technical sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, all aimed at supporting and empowering women in the field of technology. GHC provides a platform for women to connect, learn, share experiences, and advance their careers in computing and related fields. Pennsylvania Convention Center Hosts Back to School Backpack Drive to Benefit 150 Students
On Tuesday, August 20, the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority hosted a backpack drive to provide 150 backpacks with school supplies to students participating in programs hosted by the non-profit Mighty Writers, which hosts free writing workshops and after school programs for kids 7 to 17. The backpacks will be distributed to participants in the Mighty Writers’ summer camp program.
