Philadelphia restaurant group Craft Concepts Group — opening its newest eatery this week — will focus on growing its events business and going more local with its menu offerings.

The upshot is expanding into growing consumer preferences and tapping into an industry that generates millions of dollars to the local economy.

Craft Concepts Group, parent company of popular Philadelphia bars Bru Craft & Wurst and U-Bahn, on Thursday will open Tradesman's, which occupies 1322-24 Chestnut St.

It will be the largest eatery under restaurateur Teddy Sourias' mushrooming group, operating mainly in Midtown Village's Chestnut Street corridor.
