Architectural Wonder

Both the original Pennsylvania Convention Center building and the expansion contain striking features which have been hailed for their architectural style:

  • The grand train shed roof, the last remaining free-span arch train shed in the country.
  • The breathtaking atrium, which spans 400 feet on the ground, and soars 110 feet into the air (or the equivalent of 10 building stories).
  • The grand escalators from the Exhibit Hall level to the Ballroom level which transport guests over 100 feet and offer a nearly unobstructed view through crystal-clear panes of hand-set glass.
